Our human sexuality sermon series Following Jesus with our Bodies will continue on the following Sundays: March 2, 9, 30. For those of you who have signed up for a listening circle, please remember your dates which are either Sundays (March 2,9 and 30) after potluck and soup for Circle participants, or 7pm, Tuesdays (Feb 11, March 4, 11, and April 1, or 7pm, Thursdays (Feb 13, March 6, 13, and April 3). Evening circles will meet in the prayer room.
Cultivating Empathy & Understanding - Human Sexuality: God created us and our sexuality good … but it’s gotten complicated! On Sundays February 2,9, March 2 & 9, 30, Mary-Lee will teach on “Following Jesus With Our Bodies” to explore some of what the Bible says about sex. Each week after the sermon, our church is offering Listening Circles to help us think through the content and our feelings about human sexuality as regards caring well for one another, including our family members, neighbours, co-workers, all with whom we interact in society. The Listening Circles will be after the same 4 worship services.
Listening Circles provide a forum where participants listen to understand one another and the issue. A Listening Circle is a facilitated safe space to express your thoughts and feelings on the topic without receiving judgement and likewise to listen to others without casting judgement. Everyone who signs up will be placed in a group with maximum of 8 participants. Participants are expected to commit to attending all 4 meetings with the same group.
